Fuzz Foundation now accepting applications
The Fuzz Foundation for Dedicated Athletes is now accepting applications for its 2012 awards, which will be presented to two high school senior athletes from Jamestown – one male and one female – in recognition of their team leadership and dedication to their sport. Each winner will be chosen by a selection committee and will receive a $500 award to be used towards expenses during their first year of college.
The foundation is a nonprofit volunteer organization that was created in memory of Donald “Fuzzy” Andreozzi by his daughters, Megan Fox and Rachel Andreozzi. Its mission is to continue supporting Jamestown athletes whose dedication to their teams and respect for their peers and coaches make them worthy of Fuzzy’s accolades. For more than 30 years Fuzzy supported youth groups and athletics as a mentor, coach and fan.
Applications must be postmarked no later than June 29. Forms and more information are available at TheFuzzFoundation ForDedicatedAthletes.blogspot.com.
