Community once again shows its generosity
On behalf of Girl Scout Troop 396, we would like to express our gratitude and appreciation for the generosity of the community for its support in our recent butterfly bake sale and raffle.
Our special thanks to the many merchants in town who contributed items and gift certificates for the raffle. We also wish to thank the families of the troops who contributed wonderful baked goods for us to sell. A special thank you goes to East Ferry for allowing us to “camp” there and sell and raffle the goods. And finally, our gratitude goes to all the patrons who stopped by and chose to purchase raffle tickets and our food offerings, sometimes giving more than necessary.
With the success of the raffle, we were able to plant our butterfl y garden at the Melrose Avenue School. It is growing with much success and has been adorned by a commemoration rock marking the contribution of the troop.
Our community, through its businesses and residents, once again showed the spirit of giving, which symbolizes Jamestown. Thank you once again.
