Ed Achorn, a baseball historian and the editor at the Providence Journal, will speak at the Jamestown Philomenian Library on Thursday, June 14, at 7 p.m. He will discuss his book titled “Fiftynine in ’84: Old Hoss Radbourn, Barehanded Baseball and the Greatest Season a Pitcher Ever Had.” He will also discuss the history of the Providence Grays.

The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
