Property inspections begin next week
Beginning Monday, June 25, Vision Appraisal will begin inspecting houses in Jamestown as part of a full revaluation of property values. Full revaluations are more thorough than the three-year statistical revaluations that the town did in 2006 and 2009.
As required by state law, full revaluations are done every nine years, and involve an interior and exterior inspection of all properties, a remeasurement, and updated photographs.
All inspectors will carry a letter of introduction from Ken Gray, the town’s tax assessor, as well as photo identification. Their vehicles will be marked and registered with the Police Department. Any questions or concerns, call Gray at 423-9802.
