Dena E. Wilkie (Little)
Dena E. Wilkie (Little), 81, of Jamestown, passed away peacefully at the home of her son, Brad, and his wife, Cathy, surrounded by her loving family on June 21, 2012. She was the wife of the late James K. Wilkie.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Walter B. and Olive A. (Parmelee) Little.
Mrs. Wilkie was a cartographer for over 30 years for the Army Map Service in West Warwick before retiring to work for Bridges Inc. in Jamestown.
She was an artist and enjoyed making pottery, an avid sailor, and gardener and wildlife-animal rehabilitator.
She leaves three children, Lynda J. Wilkie-Hemond of Exeter, Karen K. Wilkie of Sequim, Wash., and Walter Bradford Wilkie of Richmond; a sister, Carolyn B. Payne of Warwick; seven wonderful grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was the grandmother of the late Matthew J. Hollingsworth Wilkie.
Her funeral and burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Wildlife Rehabilitators of Rhode Island, 25 Shermantown Road, Saunderstown, RI 02874.
