‘Fabulous weekend of sailing’ thanks to ACWS
What a fabulous weekend of sailing on Narragansett Bay! We were lucky enough to be able to see the races from three vantage points. On Friday, we were on board a stake boat used to mark the course. On Saturday, we took the Jamestown Ferry to Fort Adams. On Sunday, we watched national television coverage.
They were all exciting, fantastic experiences of sailing at its best, produced to include the largest number of spectators possible. Special thanks and congratulations to Sue Plowden and everyone on the America’s Cup Host Committee. Job well done!
Onward to San Francisco. And then? Bring the Cup back to Newport. This weekend’s events showed Rhode Island’s expertise in producing a spectacular event.
