Multiple charges
• A 17-year-old male juvenile
from Jamestown was charged June
25 with disorderly conduct and
simple assault. According to police, the boy threw an object out
of a moving vehicle at a woman
walking her dog. He was held at
the police station and released to
his parents. The defendant was
scheduled for a hearing in front of
the Juvenile Hearing Board.
• Nikita Wilcox, 20, of Beacon
Hill Road, Newport, was charged
June 29 with vandalism and disorderly conduct. According to police, officers responded to a loud
party on Clarke’s Village Road
where Wilcox was allegedly extremely intoxicated and belligerent. After being placed in the back
of a police cruiser, police say that
she kicked out the rear window.
The defendant was held at the police station. An arraignment was
scheduled for June 29 at 2nd Division District Court in Newport.
• Bryan Luther, 22, of Tourtellot Hill Road, North Scituate, was
charged July 4 with first-offense
DUI, first-offense possession of
marijuana, possession of a schedule I, II, III, IV or V drug, and refusal to submit to a chemical test.
According to police, a caller reported erratic operation of a motor
vehicle racing up and down Seaside Drive. Officers located a vehicle matching the caller’s description on Buoy Street. The defendant
was held at the police station. A
re-arraignment was scheduled for
July 6 at 2nd Division District
Court in Newport.
Simple assault
• Larry Ruotolo, 59, of Howland
Avenue, Jamestown, was charged
June 26 with simple assault. According to police, Ruotolo was
involved in a road-rage incident
that allegedly resulted in a physical altercation. The defendant was
held at the police station and was
arraigned by a justice of the peace.
A re-arraignment was scheduled
for July 13 at 2nd Division District
Court in Newport.
• Courtney Westall, 22, of Rolling Rock Road, Wakefield, was
charged July 7 with two counts of
simple assault. According to police, officers responded to a call
for an assault with two victims.
The defended was held at the police

station. An arraignment was
scheduled at 2nd Division District
Court in Newport.
DUI
John Richardson, 61, of Southwest Avenue, Jamestown, was
charged June 29 with first-offense
DUI. According to police, officers
responded to a moped accident on
the corner of Hamilton and Southwest, where Richardson, who was
the operator, appeared to be intoxicated. The defendant was transported to Newport Hospital where
he was released with a summons.
An arraignment was scheduled for
July 13 at 2nd Division District
Court in Newport.
License violation
• George Morin, 76, of Kay
Street, Attleboro, Mass., was
charged July 2 with driving with
an expired license. He was released with a summons. An arraignment was scheduled for July
17 at 2nd Division District Court
in Newport.
• Rafael A. Reyes, 24, of Girard
Avenue, Newport, was charged
July 8 with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.
He was released with a summons.
An arraignment was scheduled for
July 20 at 2nd Division District
Court in Newport.
• Rukiah Brown, 23, of Ashton
Street, Providence, was charged
July 7 with driving without a license. According to police, Brown
was stopped for allegedly speeding
on Route 138 and told the officer
that she did not have a license. She
was released with a summons. An
arraignment was scheduled for
July 20 at 2nd Division District
Court in Newport.
Disorderly conduct
Robert Roach, 38, of 64 Green
Lane, Jamestown, was charged
July 3 with disorderly conduct.
According to police, Roach was
involved in a verbal altercation at
the Mobil station on Narragansett
Avenue and allegedly used offensive words at another person. He
was released with a summons. An
arraignment was scheduled for
July 13 at 2nd Division District
Court in Newport.
Warrant violation
Carlos Raposa, 57, of New King
Street, Enfield, Conn., was charged
July 4 with a bench-warrant violation issued from Providence Superior

Court. According to police,
officers where checking on a suspicious vehicle at Head’s Beach
when they learned of the warrant.
The defendant was transported to
the ACI in Cranston.
Incidents
On July 4, two bikes with a total
value of $200 were stolen out of a
yard on Hawthorn Road.
On July 4, a portable DVD players, a vinyl case containing 20
DVDs, a cellphone, a flash drive,
a pair of prescription glasses, a
handbag and a pair sunglasses
with a total value of $630 were
stolen out of a car on Freebody
Drive. Also stolen out of the car
was a Bank of America Visa card,
a Bank of America Visa debit card,
and $80 cash.
On July 7, a beach cart valued
at $50 was stolen out of a yard on
Hamilton Avenue.
On July 7, an Avon inflatable
dinghy and a 15-horsepower Yamaha outboard motor with a total
value of $10,300 was stolen from
Dutch Harbor Boat Yard.
