Black & White to play Sunday at East Ferry

Jamestown’s Summer Concert Series will continue on Sunday, July 22, at 6:30 p.m. at East Ferry. Performing will be Black & White, a three-piece band that plays blues and rock music.

One of Rhode Island’s busiest working bands, Black & White has headlined venues throughout the East Coast and had the honor of performing at the prestigious Boston Blues Festival. Starting out as a quartet in 1990, the band became a trio in 1995 and began to focus on its punchy and swinging blues style. Over the years it has shared billing with legendary acts including Bo Diddley, Southside Johnny, G.E. Smith, Junior Wells, Buckwheat Zydeco, Rick Derringer, .38 Special, Duke Robillard and Dr. Hook.

Black & White features Don DiMuccio on drums, Jason James on guitar, and Kevin Martin on bass. Concertgoers can bring blankets or chairs. Admission is free. If there is rain, the concert will be held across the street at the recreation center.
