Kids program to focus on woodland animals
The Humane Society of Jamestown will offer a free five-day program for 8- and 9-year-olds that will teach youngsters about woodland animals. The program will run from Monday, Aug. 13, through Friday, Aug. 17, from 10 to 11:15 a.m. each day.
The workshops will discuss the anatomies, habitats, food preferences and contributions to the ecosystem of five woodland animals. There will be a variety of activities, including guessing games, stories, arts projects and lessons. Ann Marie Lepre will teach the structured workshops.
