ACHIEVEMENTS

Jamestown students honored academically

• Anthony Irwin was recently named to the dean’s list at Belmont University (Tennessee). The son of Rich and Ana Irwin, he is majoring in
both audio engineering and physics.
• Brynne Underhill was recently named to the dean’s list for the spring
semester at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
The daughter of Bruce and Hazel Underhill, she is pursuing a bachelor’s
degree in nursing.
• Brittany A. Semco, a freshman at Waynesburg University (Pennsylvania), was recently named to the school’s dean’s list for the spring term.
The Aquidneck Island Christian Academy graduate is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in public relations.
• Hailey Novis, a member of the class of 2013, was recently named
to the dean’s list at Phillips Academy, a coeducational high school in
Andover, Mass.
• Kendra Davis was recently named to the dean’s list at Villanova University for the spring 2012 semester. Davis is studying humanities in the
college of liberal arts and sciences.
• Two Jamestown students were named to the honor roll at La Salle
Academy in Providence. Hayley Carlisle received first honors with distinction, while Cosondra Fossa earned second honors.

Two islanders graduate from college

• Harrison R. Scott-Bennett recently graduated with a bachelor’s
degree in international relations from Cornell College (Iowa). He was
a member of Pi Sigma Alpha, the national collegiate political science
honor society, and received the Kathryn Bieber Weller Memorial Award
for academic excellence in recognition of his independent study projects in Indonesia and Tanzania. Scott-Bennett attended high school at the
Prout School in Wakefield.
• Natalie Pruell recently graduated from Boston College with a bachelor’s degree in political science.
