Already enough ‘us vs. them’ in other outlets
It was very disconcerting to read Mr. Heffner’s half-page article about Mr. Calise and his political beliefs (“Island Outlook,” July 26). With more than enough diatribes of “us and them” in so many other communications, to read a local article that deals with 99 percenters versus 1 percenters, and associates each with a presidential candidate, is truly disappointing. Cedar tree recipients could have been divided into those who pay for what they got, and those who expect to be given things for free.
