Art exhibit will open at Gilbert Stuart Musuem

A new art exhibit will be displayed at Gilbert Stuart Museum on Friday, Aug. 10, with an opening reception from 5 to 7 p.m. in the museum’s meeting room. The opening to the show will include wine and cheese. Attendance is by donation.

The exhibit is titled “South County ’Scapes.” Participating artists include Susan Medyn, Alfred Fontes, Glen Rinehimer, Beth Drainville, Tom Martino, Theresia Wenish, Dan Urish, Jonathan McPhillips, Tom Martino, Richard Marthers, Steve Wood, Harriet Powell and Chuck Eden. All art work is for sale and a portion of the proceeds will support the museum.

Free tours of the museum’s Colonial buildings will also be offered. For more information, call the museum at 294-3001.
