Annual ALRI exhibit to be displayed at JAC
The Art League of Rhode Island will hold its 12th annual exhibition at the Jamestown Arts Center beginning Friday, Aug. 31. The exhibition will feature works in all media, including paintings, sculpture, photography, textiles, original prints, ceramics and virtual art.
“The annual exhibition is our showcase event of the year,” said Joanne Breslin, the art league’s president. “We are especially pleased to be presenting the event at the Jamestown Arts Center. In a short time the center has been open, it has already made a very positive impact on the Rhode Island arts scene with its innovative and multidisciplinary approach that reaches across all art forms. It’s an exciting, inviting venue.”
The exhibit will be displayed through Sept. 23. Gallery hours for the exhibition will be Wednesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Sundays from noon to 4 p.m. The opening reception will be held on Aug. 31 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. It is free and open to the public.
