Community youth put on a great talent show
The Jamestown Community Chorus would like to thank the community for its support of our 23rd annual talent show on Aug. 16.
Every summer our organization puts on the talent show. It’s basically open to all qualified entrants. No prizes, no competition, no celebrity drama – just local summer fun. This year was particularly satisfying to our tireless members and organizers as there was an enthusiastic full house and an amazing array of talented performers. Of note was the number of younger performers, including a ventriloquist. The youth of the community juggled, sang, danced, told stories and Hula-Hooped their way across the stage – all were brilliant and fearless.
Thank you to the staff of the Jamestown Recreation Department who helped make the recreation center available and ready for the show. A thank you to the Jamestown Press as well, which is a true community newspaper.
Last, hoping that you have read this far – the Jamestown Community Chorus starts its fall rehearsals (no auditions) on Monday, Sept. 10, at 6:30 p.m. at the Central Baptist Church.
