Drop off clipped box tops at island schools
The Jamestown PTO has been participating in the Box Tops for Education program for several years. For those who are not familiar with the program, it involves the clipping and submission of pink box-top labels that can be found on hundreds of grocery products.
For each box top we turn in, the program rewards us with 10 cents. These dimes add up quickly, and last year the PTO received more than $1,500 from the program. This helps us provide the programs that are so important to our Jamestown students, including cultural arts, science-enrichment programs, field trips, classroom supplies, books, health and wellness activities, and family events.
This year, we would like to ramp up our participation in the program by inviting the whole town to join us in clipping box tops. We’ve placed collection containers at the library and McQuade’s, so simply bring your clipped box tops there at your convenience. Of course, box tops can also be placed in the collection containers at Lawn and Melrose schools. This is an easy way to make a difference to the youth of Jamestown – it’s hip to clip. Thanks very much for your help.
