Thanks to sponsors, bands and concertgoers

The Jamestown Summer Concert Series just wrapped up its 25th consecutive season with a concert by our very own Jamestown Community Band at East Ferry Memorial Square on Aug. 26.

The Jamestown Community Band was one of eight shows, which included performances by some of the area’s finest musicians and singers. Performances this year included Atwater Donnelly, the Lois Vaughan Band, Garry Foisy, Black & White, Greg Abate, 5 Flavor Discount and Dead Blues Society.

I would like to thank the local sponsors who continue to make the program a success. They are John Murphy, The Secret Garden, the Jamestown Women’s Club, Baker’s Pharmacy, East Ferry Deli, Mansions & Manors, Evan Corporation, A.S. Clarke Excavating, and Conanicut Marine Services. Without these sponsors, the concert series would not be possible.

Lastly, I would like to give a big thank to our concertgoers, who enthusiastically support every performer and really make the Sunday concerts a success. Hope to see you all next year.
