Chamber event aboard the Lynx tomorrow

The Jamestown Chamber of Commerce will hold an educational event dockside on the 122-foot tall ship Lynx with appetizers, refreshments and tours on Friday, Sept. 14, at 6:30 p.m. The Lynx, which will dock at East Ferry, is an interpretation of a privateer of the same name built by Thomas Kemp in 1812 in Fell’s Point, Md. The square-top sail schooner acts as a dynamic educational platform and provides a unique opportunity for students to learn from a hands-on experience. To RSVP, email John McCauley at john@jamestownrichamber.com. Cost is $15 for chamber members, $20 for nonmembers.
