Association to discuss protecting Shores’ lots
The Jamestown Shores Association will hold a special meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 26, at 7 p.m. at the Jamestown Philomenian Library. The meeting will focus on protecting the town-owned lots in Jamestown Shores.
Guest speakers will include Quentin Anthony, president of the Conanicut Island Land Trust, and Jim Turenne, a soil scientist for the state. Turenne will describe a developed plan for stewardship and overall responsibilities for the lots. Locations of the properties are based on GPS coordinates. Also in attendance will be Maureen Coleman of the Conservation Commission.
