Newport Renewables defeats NK team, 4-3

In the Jamestown Soccer Association’s third week of play, island teams went 2-1 against North Kingstown competition in the U12 division. Newport Renewables won 4-3, thanks to goals from Ksyenia Farrell and Ben Hutchinson. Stearns Farms lost 4-3 with goals coming from Casey Egan and Hanna Coleman in the defeat, while Lila Delman was shut out, 5-0.

In the U10 division, Conanicut Marine came back to force a 5-5 draw, with goals from Garret Corsi, Drew Tamburini, Charles Deaton and Patrick Gale. Payton’s Pace got goals from Jaxon Smith, Julia Cotsonas, Jacob Benson, Ryder Anderson, Keely Fisher and Adam Powers in its win, while Jamestown Hardward won 3-1. Connor Froberg and Ryan DeLessio scored in the victory, with assists from Ben Turene and Colby Godwin. Kyle Takata, Natalie Conover, Ben Smith and Finn Gaudreau scored in Jamestown Animal Clinic’s 6-4 win.

Outstanding players in the U8 division were Wyatt Cardoza and James Grace from Baker’s Pharmacy; Owen Carroll and Ryan Hines from Beacon Hill Gardening; Diego Billington and Connor Monclova from Jamestown Women’s Club; Slate Evans and Andrew Goodburn from Jamestown Fitness; Timothy Healy and Landon Zeiner from Murphy’s Law; and Robert Caldwell and Ethan Colunga from the Secret Garden.

Outstanding players in the U6 division were Jake McNeil and Lillian Smith from House of Pizza; Paxton Roberts and Gweneth Sylvia from the Fuzz Foundation; Kate Myles and Austin Seger from Salon Balayage; Jordan Parris and Ben Wellons from Slice of Heaven; Scarlet Gray and Thomas Gideon from Central Garage; and Avery Shafte and Sophia Schuetlke from Kettlebottom Outfitters.
