Fire dispatcher did a great job during Sandy
As a member of the Jamestown Fire Department, during Hurricane Sandy, I sat in the radio room with our dispatcher, Keith Godena. What an asset he is to our department. Keith calmly and professionally handled phone and radio calls, dispatched engines, rescues and special services, and communicated constantly with our four department chiefs for hours past his regularly scheduled work. He responded to requests from the police and our citizens regarding closing and blocking roads due to trees and wires down, and kept the whole department running smoothly. He did a great job.
