Good Samaritans help during bike accident
On Oct. 16, my husband, Stewart Morgan, had a traumatic accident while riding his bicycle alone on North Main Road. Due to his injury, he was unable to reach his cell phone, when, to our great good fortune, Charles Gladding found him lying by the side of the road. Mr. Gladding called the Jamestown emergency rescue and along with another cyclist, Bob (we have been unable to find out his full name), stayed with Stewart until help arrived.
In addition, Sgt. Jason Hopkins of the Jamestown Police Department found me at a class at the Jamestown Golf Course and made sure I knew to which hospital Stewart was being transported. We will always be grateful for their kindness and quick thinking.
We are so appreciative of the actions of these Good Samaritans and the excellent care provided by the EMS and the Police Department. On behalf of our family and myself, I want to express how fortunate we feel to live in Jamestown and to have caring neighbors such as these.
