Ruth B. (Wright) Fadden
(Wright) Fadden, 91, a resident of East Greenwich, died peacefully on Nov. 14, 2012. She was the wife of the late Bruce Fadden.
Born in Providence, the daughter of the late George F. and Florence B. Wright, she lived in East Greenwich for 53 years and summered on Jamestown as a child on Carr Lane.
She graduated from Cranston East in 1940 and was a 1945 graduate of Newport Hospital School of Nursing. She worked for many years as a nurse at Quonset Naval Hospital, Kent County Memorial and Rhode Island Hospital.
She was a communicant of St. Paul’s Church in Wickford and served on the altar guild and as a docent at the old Narragansett Church. She volunteered for Meals on Wheels for years in East Greenwich and Wickford.
She leaves a daughter, Bonnie Hogan of Jamestown; a son, Robert Fadden of West Kingston; five grandchildren, Kimberly Paiva, Kirk Fadden, Christa Fadden, Heidi Hogan and Rebecca Hogan; and four great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late George, Louis, Arthur, Henry and Harold Wright.
A memorial service was held at St. Paul’s Church and burial was in Cedar Cemetery in Jamestown.
