Potter League offers half-price cat adoption

The Potter League for Animals in Middletown is having a special in the month of December for anyone interested in adopting a cat. All cats 7 months and older will be available for an adoption fee of $62.50, which is 50 percent off the regular adoption fee. All felines available for adoption have been spayed or neutered, are up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, and have been examined by a veterinarian. Cat adoptions include a carrier, safety collar and ID tag. Also, the first 50 adopters will receive a free gift. All routine procedures will be required by anyone wishing to adopt a cat.

In other news, the Potter League will hold its annual holiday jewelry sale beginning Saturday, Dec. 1. The sale ends Dec. 9. There will be a special preview party for women on Friday, Nov. 30, and a men’s event will follow on Thursday, Dec. 6. Both events take place from 5 to 8 p.m. and admission is free. There will be door prizes, shopping assistance and gift wrapping.

The sale will feature Sequin’s exquisite costume jewelry selling at 50 to 80 percent off retail prices. Enamel bracelets, contemporary necklaces, pins and earrings, which are sold at New York’s most exclusive stores, will be featured. All proceeds will benefit the Potter League.
