Thanks to volunteers for island Christmas
I want to thank all the volunteers who have helped to make Jamestown’s holiday spirit come alive.
The tree lighting on Saturday night was a fantastic evening, filled with wonderful music and a terrific crowd of people. Leading up to Saturday’s event, I saw members of the Quononoquott Garden Club doing their awesome job of decorating, along with so many of the community’s merchants. Special thanks to all the volunteers who set up and decorated the tree, and to the Jamestown Fire Department who light up Narragansett Avenue. Thanks also to Conanicut Marina with Bill and May Munger, Charlie Petit and so many others. I can’t begin to name everyone who contribute so much every year to the atmosphere that gives our town its holiday look.
Thanks to all the musicians from the Jamestown schools, the Jamestown Women’s Club for refreshments, Summersong and the Jamestown Community Band, who gets special appreciation for its surprise appearance at our open house at Island Realty. I’m sure there are many I haven’t named, but I am grateful to you all.
