Arts center will show seven films tonight
The Jamestown Arts Center will show seven short features from the Rhode Island International Film Festival on Thursday, Dec. 20, at 7 p.m. Cost is $10.
Selections will include “Act of Memory,” a 12-minute English film about a British family’s experiences during Christmas in 1948; “Connected,” an eightminute comedic short directed by Chris Connatty about the disconnect between a modern man and his cellphone; “Maedchenabend,” a 17-minute German film about a 74-year-old who abducts her elderly roommate and shows her a night on the town in the red light district of Hamburg; and “Mr. Christmas,” a 14-minute movie directed by Nick Palmer that won best documentary short at this year’s festival.
