OWL ISLAND



There has been an influx of barred owl sightings on the island in the last few weeks. The owl is fairly common in Rhode Island, but not in Jamestown. According to conservationist Chris Powell, barred owls prefer heavily wooded swamp areas and have been spotted along North Road from the transfer station to Watson Farm.
