From Dec. 10 to Dec. 17, the Jamestown Police Department responded to 323 calls. Of those calls, officers performed 175 security checks of vacant homes, businesses and public buildings.
The police also responded to 10 medical or fire calls, seven animal complaints resulting in two charges being filed against the animal owner, four parking complaints, and eight residential or business alarms.
Additionally, there were 44 traffi c stops, resulting in three arrests and five traffic citations. Officers also transported two prisoners to 2nd Division District Court in Newport.
• Jennifer E. Link, 23, of Pheasant Run, Saunderstown, was charged Dec. 12 with driving with an expired license. Link was issued a summons. An arraignment was scheduled for Jan. 4 at 2nd Division District Court in Newport.
• Ezequiel D. Muniz, 23, of Sumner Street, Hartford, Conn., was charged Dec. 15 for driving with a suspended license. Muniz was taken to the police station where he was processed and arraigned by a justice of the peace. A re-arraignment was scheduled for Jan. 4 at 2nd Division District Court in Newport.
Sherry Muddiman, 55, of South Road, North Kingstown, was charged Dec. 12 with a bench warrant issued from 2nd Division District Court in Newport. According to police, Muddiman’s arrest was the result of an investigation at Cumberland Farms on North Road. She was transported to police station where she was processed and then taken to the Sheriffs Department. A court date was scheduled for Dec. 12 at 2nd Division District Court.
