Bobolink Project schedules four dates at library
University of Connecticut’s Bobolink Project will return to the Jamestown Philomenian Library on the evening of Thursday, Jan. 10. The purpose of the group is to help farmers and the community work together to protect the bobolink’s nesting sites. The birds face an uncertain future in Jamestown because of the dwindling supply of hayfi elds. A table will be set up at the library for interested community members to meet with project representatives on how to save the bobolink. For more information, call Stephen Swallow at 860-486-1917. The group will also be at the library on Jan. 23, Feb. 7 and Feb. 20.
