NKHS junior will work with Rep. Cicilline
U.S. Congressman David Cicilline announced Tuesday the creation of his Congressional Youth Cabinet. It will be made up of high school juniors from Rhode Island’s 1st Congressional District – each high school will have the opportunity to submit one representative by Feb. 1.
The group will meet quarterly to highlight the ways that decisions made in Washington have a direct impact on young people in Rhode Island. In addition, students participating in the program will gain hands-on experience researching public policy issues and contributing to the democratic process.
Cicilline asked every high school in the district – including North Kingstown – to select a high school junior to serve on the cabinet.
