Boys’ hockey loses to Prout, Cumberland

Despite two losses last week, the North Kingstown boys’ varsity hockey team is still in first place in Division II-South. The Skippers (9-5 overall) lost to Prout on Jan. 25, 4-2. Prout’s Matt Peacock scored a hat trick in the victory. Pat Limoges and James Moan scored for the Skippers. Jamestown’s Jarod Parkins made 29 saves in the loss. The following day, Cumberland shut out North Kingstown, 3-0. Parkins saved 32 of 35 shots.

North Kingstown’s Adam Nabb is currently third in the state in scoring with 32 points (19 goals, 13 assists). The Skippers are back in action Friday, Feb. 1, when they visit Thayer Arena to play Pilgrim at 7 p.m.
