Doris (Stevenson) Cramer
Doris (Stevenson) Cramer, 82, passed away on Jan. 23, 2013, at Saint Elizabeth Home in East Greenwich. She was the former wife of the late Paul F. Cramer Jr. and the daughter of the late William and Julia (Wuskell) Stevenson. Doris was a graduate of Hartford Public High School, class of 1948, and resided in Hartford and Windsor, Conn., before moving to Fort Pierce, FL in 1984. An avid reader, Doris enjoyed her time working at the Book Rack in Fort Pierce. She was also a dedicated volunteer at the Lawnwood Medical Center.
Doris leaves her five children and nine grandchildren: Christine DeTour and husband Thomas and sons Michael and Dan of Jamestown; Laura Gallo and husband Larry and sons Nick and Chris of Chapel Hill, N.C.; Joanne O’Connor and sons Tom and Michael of Columbus, Ga.; William Cramer of Hartford; and Paul Cramer and his Cheryl and children Sarah, Heather and Michael of Manchester, Conn. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren and nieces Debbi McCain and Janice Dake and nephew Douglas Smith of Fort Pierce, Fla. She was predeceased by her dear cousin, Marjorie Rose Smith.
Doris will be remembered for her beautiful, warm smile, playful sense of humor, and her elegant style.
