JAC offers children’s camp for winter break
A camp for children ages 5 to 12 will be held at the Jamestown Arts Center during February vacation, which begins Monday, Feb. 18. Children will participate in activities such as sculpture making, printmaking, drawing and painting. Led by instructors Natalie Squillante and Casey Weibust, children will create winter-themed artwork while interacting with their peers in a creative environment. Each day will begin with a collaborative project followed by body movement or outdoor exploring. Lunch is from noon to 1 p.m., and the afternoon involves another winter-themed art project. The five-day camp costs $300 for the full day, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., or $150 for the half-day option, 9 a.m. to noon. Partial-week camps are available, and days missed can be prorated. Scholarships are being offered. Campers should bring a bag lunch and a bottle of water. Snacks will be provided. For more information, call 560-0979.
