Newport Restaurant Week kicks off April 5

Newport Restaurant Week will be held from April 5 to April 14. More than 50 restaurants throughout Newport and Bristol counties will offer three-course lunches for $16 and three-course dinners for $30.

Throughout the 10 days of dining, visitors will be able to participate in cooking classes, wine tastings and chef-led culinary tours. There will also be value packages for tourists who would like to spend the night.

“Newport Restaurant Week has truly evolved into one of our destination’s preeminent culinary events,” said Len Panaggio of Discover

Newport. “We possess a rich culinary heritage that our chefs continue to highlight and advance with both traditional and creative dishes. This is an outstanding opportunity to dine in our dynamic restaurants in both Newport and Bristol Counties and enjoy the unique flavors that continue to grow our reputation as a top culinary destination.”

Many of Newport Restaurants Week’s chefs will showcase their skills on WPRI 12’s “The Rhode Show” on Tuesday mornings through April 9. Viewers can learn recipes and see how some of the dishes come together.
