Report ranks health of each county in U.S.
A report released last week helps paint a picture of health in nearly every county in all 50 states, including Rhode Island.
The report looked at factors such as high school graduation rates, obesity, smoking and family support. According to the report, 21 percent of those living in Bristol and Washington counties are obese, as are 22 percent in Newport County, and 27 percent in Kent and Providence counties. The full report by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the University of Wisconsin can be found on CountyHealthRank ings.org.
