Renowned pianist will play at St. Matthew’s
Pianist Shuann Chai will play the Jamestown community piano at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church on Monday, April 8, at 3 p.m. The free after-school concert is designed for Jamestown students, although everyone is invited to attend. In her one-hour program, Chai will perform works by Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin and Bach. Chai, who is in Rhode Island to judge URI’s Piano Extravaganza, graduated from Ohio’s Oberlin Conservatory and has performed around the world, most recently in China, France, Norway and England. The concert is free and open to the public. Donations are appreciated.
