Jamestowner enters Charles River kayak race
Jamestown’s Timothy Dwyer recently registered for the 31st annual Run of the Charles that is scheduled for April 28. The canoe and kayak race, which celebrates the ongoing improvements of the Charles River, draws approximately 1,500 paddlers. Dwyer is entered in the masters category of the 6-mile race.
Dwyer participated in the 19- mile event in each of the last two years. In 2011, he finished fourth overall in the masters category. Last year, he improved to second place overall. The masters category is for paddlers between the ages of 40 and 59.
