TREATMENT PLANT WINS STATE AWARD



Last week the Jamestown Wastewater Treatment Facility received the “Most Efficient Small Second­ary Treatment Facility” awards for performance in 2012 from the Narragansett Water Pollution Con­trol Association. Doug Ouellette, plant superintendent, received the award for the town of James­town. Presenting the award was Secretary of State A. Ralph Mollis and Douglas Nettleton, president of Narragansett Water Pollution Control. Also present was Anthony Simeone, executive director of R.I. Clean Water Finance Agency, who is also a resident of Jamestown.
