Walk at Glen Park will benefit homeless pets

The Potter League for Animals will hold its 24th annual walk for animals on Sunday, June 2, at Glen Park in Portsmouth. The event raises funds to care for homeless pets in need. Participants are en­couraged to collect pledges – those who raise $100 will receive a free lunch and T-shirt. All proceeds from the event will directly benefit the shelter animals. Check-in be­gins at 10 a.m. and the walk starts at noon. Morning festivities in­clude an obstacle course for dogs, obedience-training demonstrations and a scavenger hunt and face painting for kids. Register online at PotterLeague.org. Fee is $20 for walkers who do not raise pledges. Children 8 and under walk free.
