State designates town library as cooling spot

The state Emergency Management Agency has named the Jamestown Philomenian Library as a cooling center. Due to forecasted heat and humidity, the EMA designates pubic buildings across the state for people who don’t have an air conditioner in their homes. The Jamestown cooling center is open Thursday, June 27, from noon to 8 p.m.
