Check out a Newport Gulls game. It’s a great way to spend a summer evening. Make sure to stop by the Mudville Pub before the game for a cool view and a cold one.

Islander Debra Vierra Murphy has been cast in the summer series for Epic Theatre Company. Director Kevin Broccoli not only directs the work, but he writes his own stuff. This is going to be a series of short stories. It will be performed at the Artists’ Exchange in Cranston on July 12 and 13. Congratulations, Debra.

This just in: On Friday and Saturday nights in July and August, there are later ferry runs from Newport back to Jamestown. Folks can leave Newport as late as midnight and be back on the island by 12:20 a.m. Great news!
