Book discussion to be held at Baptist church

Central Baptist Church will host a discussion on the Pulitzer Prizewinning novel “To Kill a Mockingbird” on Thursday, July 11, at 6:30 p.m. The book was written by Harper Lee and published in 1960. The story follows Atticus Finch, a white lawyer who defends a black man against an undeserved rape charge in the Deep South during the Depression. The discussion is open to the public. The congregation will also host a viewing of the award-winning film adaptation on Thursday, July 25, at 6:30 p.m.
