More than 100 E-ZPass accounts overcharged
Last week, 128 of the 12,000 newly opened E-ZPass accounts have been accidentally charged incorrect fees, according to David Darlington, chairman of the Rhode Island Turnpike and Bridge Authority.
He said the authority issued credits and apologized.
According to Darlington, in the process of setting up a new account, a double account was inadvertently created and was charged twice.
Anyone who received an unwanted transponder can return it at no cost to them via mail or by dropping them off.
