Film festival returns to arts center next week
The Rhode Island International Film Festival returns to the Jamestown Arts Center and will screen independent films on Thursday, Aug. 8, at 8 p.m. The first film scheduled is “Tiny: A Story About Living Small,” a 62-minute movie directed by Christopher Smith. The film follows Smith as he embarks on his dream of building a 124-square-foot home. The average American house is about 2,300 square feet. The second film will be “Wood/Sails/Dreams,” which looks at the resurgence of building wooden boats. Filmmaker John Stanton will be in attendance at the screening. Cost is $10.
