Annual talent show, raffle, both a success
On behalf of the Jamestown Community Chorus, I am writing to thank all the many people who helped make our 24th annual talent show such a big success.
Our heartfelt appreciation goes out to all the performers in our cast of no fewer than 20 acts. You were all phenomenal.
Also, everyone who attended the show and filled the house; everyone who bought raffle tickets; the Jamestown Community Band for opening the show with such rousing music; the Recreation Department for the use of the rec center; the Jamestown Press, especially Ken Shane, Kim Taylor and Stephanie Heelan Cotsonas, for keeping the community up to date and informed; and the Jamestown Record, now showing video of the talent show recorded by Terry Horsley.
We are pleased to have had a full compliment of performers and a successful raffle, and we look forward to continuing to showcase our community’s talent in the years to come.
Our next concert – “JCC on the Air: A 1943 Radio Broadcast” – will take place Dec. 14 at the recreation center, harkening back to the days when the building was a USO hall. We start rehearsals Sept. 16 at 7 p.m. at the Central Baptist Church, and invite everyone who loves to sing to join us.
In the meantime, thanks again to all.
