Many more deserve praise for LNG fight
I want to thank the paper and writer Ken Shane for the story about me, my art and my current work. In both my artistic and environmental endeavors, my approach has typically been collaborative. In the LNG fight, I think it’s important to recognize the work of the Jamestown LNG Threat Committee, who put its hours in on what they felt was a very important issue, and weathered being videotaped by Hess, among other things. Those individuals were Dan Wright, Peter Converse, Martin Keen and Lowell Thomas. And certainly the Town Council at that time, who saw fit to create and support the committee. I also appreciate the participation and leadership of our federal delegation, especially Sen. Whitehouse, our state leaders, including then-Attorney General Patrick Lynch and state Rep. Deb Ruggiero, and of course the towns and councils of the Narragansett Bay.
