Donate bras to help sheltered women

Staci’s Place in East Greenwich is collecting clean and gently worn bras all month to support women in transition and living in domestic shelters. Anyone who brings in a used bra during the month of September will receive $10 off any bra purchase.

“Let’s reduce the amount of reusable textiles in our landfills and together we can do good, look good, and support local small business,” said Staci Cormier, owner of Staci’s Place.

All bras that are collected will be sent to the Bra Recyclers, a textile recycling company that helps delay the number of fabrics entering the waste stream while providing social benefits to communities worldwide. Bras are one of the most requested items by women in shelters and transitional programs.

Staci’s Place is a fine intimates and specialty fashions shop located at 99 Main St. in East Greenwich.
