Diana N. (Torregrossa) Travisono
Diana N. (Torregrossa) Travisono, age 84, died on Sunday, Sept. 1, 2013, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the widow of Anthony P. Travisono. Born in Providence on Feb. 12, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Jean (Coccoli), and sister to the late Patricia Torregrossa. Diana is survived by three sons, Peter and wife Nancy Pottish, Steven, and John, all of Rhode Island; and two daughters, Elisa McClure and husband Edward of Texas, and Jeanne Travisono and husband Alan Christman of Montana; and the adoring grandparent of Taylor, Matthew, Elisa, Michael, Kara, Ian and Nathan; and one precious great-grandchild, Alexandra.
A research editor, Diana was an award-winning directories designer while employed. Upon retirement in 1991, she and her husband moved to Jamestown where she has been a communicant of St. Mark Church and an active member of the women’s club. She thoroughly enjoyed her family, traveling, cooking, gardening, art and writing.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Mark Church at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 6. A private burial will be in St. Mark Cemetery.
Following Diana’s wishes, contributions may be made in her memory to Pancreatic Cancer Research Funding.
