Discuss ‘Eaarth,’ eat breakfast Saturday

Jamestown men are invited to attend eight Saturday morning breakfast meetings through November beginning Saturday, Sept. 14, at 8 a.m. at Central Baptist Church. All are welcome. Past members include people of Protestant, Catholic and Jewish faiths, plus former believers, seekers and men concerned about the planet.

Members will discuss “Eaarth: Making a Life on a Tough New Planet,” by Bill McKibben. McKibben has been described as “the world’s best green journalist” by Time Magazine. Topics to be discussed at the breakfast meeting include global warming, loss of the glaciers, changing rainfall, growth of new deserts, the impact of carbon, and greenhouse pollutants.
