Island teen wins two ribbons at horse show

Courtesy/Kristen Hartley Allison Nicole Hartley, a 14-year-old Jamestown resident, won a pair of ribbons at Saturday’s open schooling show at Washington Country Stable. Riding Rock ’n Rowdy, Allison placed first in the largest class doing the youth walk trot trail, and won the four-way tie for fourth place doing the walk trot riders fitting and showmanship.

Rock ’n Rowdy is owned by islander Luann Botelho and represents Nick Robinson’s North Meadow Farm. Allison’s mother, Kristen Froberg-Hartley, is her trainer.
