Warriors come back from 8 down
In week four of the Jamestown fall basketball league, the Warriors were able to remain undefeated after coming back from an eightpoint deficit to defeat the Lakers, 52-48. Grant Gillis, a member of the North Kingstown varsity team, scored 34 of the Warriors’ 52 points. Lucas Barth hit six 3-pointers and finished with 23 points in the losing effort. Jared Ford chipped in with 10 points for the Lakers.
In the second game, the Raptors secured their first win of the season with a 54-48 victory over the Bulls. Spencer Bode scored a game-high 27 points, and Jake Mansfield added 22 for the winners. For the Bulls, Prout standout Chris Diclemente poured in 25 in the loss.
Dan Flaherty’s 24 points helped propel the Celtics over the Rockets, 57-54. Kevin Martin scored 17 points for the winners. Isaiah Bulter scored 23 points and Stefan Peoples added 17 for the Rockets.
Games are played every Saturday at the recreation center. Admission is free. Games begin at 11 a.m., noon and 1 p.m.
